Kim Murphy, Senior Advisor
Kim Murphy has more than 50 years’ real estate experience in pre-development feasibility, investment analysis, property acquisition/disposition and land development. For 23 years, as the Director of Real Estate for the University of New Mexico, he managed and developed non-academic institutional and commercial real estate valued at about $300 million, including a land exchange/sale/
participation transaction for Mesa del Sol planned community, and achieved $330 million in public financing for the South Campus Tax Increment Development District.
Currently, as the Senior Advisor for Sage Land Solutions, LLC, he specializes in real estate consulting services to institutions and private industry. Most recently these consultations have focused on the feasibility of public finance strategies for public and private land, such as Tax Increment Development Districts, Public Improvement Districts and Metropolitan Redevelopment – Tax Increment Financing.
Murphy is a licensed New Mexico real estate broker. He received his master’s degree in regional planning from the University of Colorado, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Commercial Association of Realtors©NM and Lambda Alpha International for land economics.
