Will Gleason, Advisor
Will Gleason focuses on securing zoning and land use approvals for complex projects in Albuquerque and across the Southwest. Trained as an urban planner, he understands how to anticipate City and neighborhood issues and address them before they impact a project schedule. From 2005 to 2026, Gleason was a studio leader and partner at Dekker, a prominent architectural and planning firm based in Albuquerque. His focus was threefold: creating master plans for large tracts of land and universities, zoning and entitlement approvals for specific projects, and revitalization plans for cities and towns.
As a land use planner for the New Mexico State Land Office from 1997-2002, he worked on the Edgewood Master Plan, Sandia Science and Technology Park and Mesa del Sol Master Plan. Throughout his career, he has continued to work on multiple projects at Mesa del Sol, including the Netflix campus, Albuquerque Studios, and a 240-unit multi-family housing project slated to open in 2027. He also served on the Mesa del Sol Architectural Review Committee for 20+ years.
He is passionate about creating housing and projects that create great places for people to live, work, and play. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College and a master’s in Regional and Community Planning from the University of New Mexico. He is a past chair of the New Mexico chapter of the Urban Land Institute and has received multiple awards from the American Planning Association.
